Re brand a destination that's current identity is lack luster

Concept_

Hiroshima just celebrated their 45th anniversary of the Atomic Bombing. 

The region has been through, needless to say....a lot. Through this devastating occurrence they were able to rise from the ashes. Hiroshima is not only a world renown place for peace but they are also a leader in manufacturing and technology. 

Logo was to recognize the past but present an identity that is looking toward the   future. The Origami Dove was created in just that fashion. A nod to the           ancient tradition of paper folding, and a sans serif typeface to distinguish itself 

in the future. 

Photography in all print media was established behind the idea of rich photography that has a simple message.

White Space created for the Poster and Magazine ad was kept to keep the design very clean and modern and allowing the identity to be free and clear in its message. White is a color in Japan that is held with high regard. A white robe is worn the moment a Japanese person is born and it is also the color they are laid to rest in. We come into this world pure and we leave in the same way.

Dedication to Half Marathon's

Running has never been my strong suit. I am slow and most of the times I am out of shape, however with the recent passing of the SF Nike Marathon this last weekend I got to thinking....what a great way to see all the cool buildings, people and attractions in a city than running past them. Ha ha! There can't be a better distraction that the scenery right? 

So I have decided that every year from here on out, that I will pick a city and run a half marathon. First on the list is New York City. I have been there several times and I have definitely taken in all the tourist attractions but the city is huge and I am sure I will see stuff while running that a normal tourist might never see. 

Ultimately I want to run half marathons around the world. My goal is to someday run the Rome marathon.

What a great way to stay in shape year round (not easy to train for 13.3 miles in a couple of months) and to have an excuse to travel, and to some places that I might never go to if it weren't for the cause!

The Federal Reserve

My latest endeavor in school takes me to the Federal Reserve. You know the bank that controls us but is no part of the government...yeah that one. I was given a project to do whatever I feel like and whatever I am most interested in, which is absolutely AWESOME. I have been following Ron Paul and his actions to get the Federal Reserve audited and thought what a better system to get to know than the "system" robbing the United States and the world. So simple enough one might think to dive into right? NOT EXACTLY. The Federal Reserve is a tighly spun web of deciet and profitiering. 

The Federal Reserve system stems from the secret meeting in Jekyll Island (arranged by the Rothschilds, who are in Europe) where you have your attendee's....

1.Nelson Aldrich who is a business associate of JP Morgan, and father in law to JD Rockefeller 

   Jr.

2. Frank Vanderlip, president of National City Bank of New York which is the most powerful bank of that time, representing William Rockefeller and the international Investment firm of Kuhn, Loeb and Co.

3. Abraham Piatt Andrew, asst secretary of the united states treasury

4. Henry Davidson, senior partner of JP Morgan

5. Charles Norton, president of JP Morgans First National Bank of New York

6. Benjamin Strong, head of JP Morgan's Bankers Trust Company

7. Paul Warburg, a partner in Kuhn, Loeb and Co, a representative of the Rothschild banking dynasty in England and France, and brother to Max Warburg who was head of the Warburg banking consortium in Germany and the Netherlands.

What a cute tight nit community they have going for them. 

What I am finding out is that obviously the idea of the Federal Reserve system stems from the Rothschild Family, also responsible for writing the Illuminati. 

As my research unfolds I am diving deeper and deeper into the root of true World History. All those at the Jekyll Island meeting are connected through fraud, and greed.

It has been so much fun finding out all of this information. Where this will take me I am not sure yet. This may lead to a poster series, info graphics, who knows. 

Verdana is the new Typeface for Ikea

It is painfully tacky, to say the least. We all know ikea is the place for particle board furniture, plastic kitchenware, and make your own art, but why cheapen the typeface with the product. I feel like this typeface should start falling apart.

At least with Futura it classed up the joint, but Verdana really? At least they could have jumped on board with everyone else these days and put Helvetica up and down the catalog and stores. Your products are cheap but look nice (at least temporarily) but your Verdana, how do you compensate for that?

Ikea...at least you have a box of cookies for three dollars going for you still.

Just for you Ikea...guess what typeface I am using?

The Husband and I splurged on making some cookies last night after we went shopping for all our healthy vegetarian meals. 

Where's Brooklyn at?

On my trip to New York to visit Mike's mom and sister. Finally was able to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Amazing Views! Can't wait to go back. Its the cat's pajama's!
